GEORGE A. BASS

PERRYVILLE -- George A. "Bert" Bass, 84, of Perryville, died Thursday, June 11, 1992, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 17, 1907, at Perryville, son of Francis M. and Sarah E. Tucker Bass. He and Erna Ochs were married April 22, 1933.

Bass retired as a packing foreman at International Shoe Co. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, its Men's Club, Voting Club, and American Legion Post 133. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; three sisters, Stella Brewer and Thelma Kitchen of Perryville, and Frances Boxdorfer of Chester, Ill.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5-9 tonight, and 6:30-8 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
