BELL CITY -- Gennie V. Jenkins, 56, of Bell City, died Monday, Nov. 13, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Sept. 7, 1939, in Bell City, daughter of Lonnie and Elvira McDowell Sawyer.
Jenkins had worked at Arvin Automotive in Dexter. She was a member and Sunday School teacher at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.
Survivors include a brother, Jonathan Sawyer of Grand Rapids, Mich.; five sisters, Beulah Sawyer and Mary Bell of Highland Park, Mich., Ivory Harrison of Detroit, Mich., Nyoka McKinney of Grand Rapids, and Ida Smoot of Niles, Mich.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bell City Church of God in Christ, with the Rev. Willie Hunt officiating. Burial will be in J.C. Pullen Memorial Garden.
Friends may call Saturday at the church from noon to service time.
