Genice K. Huffman, 61, of Jackson died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Oct. 2, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Arnold Edward and Lela Viola Jaco Silman. She and Aulcey F. "Pee Wee" Huffman were married July 30, 1966, in Cape Girardeau...

Genice K. Huffman, 61, of Jackson died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 2, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Arnold Edward and Lela Viola Jaco Silman. She and Aulcey F. "Pee Wee" Huffman were married July 30, 1966, in Cape Girardeau.

Huffman was a graduate of Central High School. She was employed by Procter & Gamble more than 20 years, retiring in 1992.

She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, genealogy and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Aulcey F. "Pee Wee" Huffman of Jackson; two daughters, Patricia Fay Huffman of Jackson, Jennifer Violet Tapley and husband Justin of Thebes, Ill.; two grandchildren, Zachary Wayne Brim and Carmen Justine Danielle Tapley; mother, Lela Viola Jaco Silman of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Linda Fay Abernathy and husband Edgar of Cape Girardeau; and a sister, Clara Ann Southerland and husband James of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
