BENTON, Mo. -- Genevieve E. Menz, 90, of Benton died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013.
She was born Feb. 13, 1923, in Oran, Mo., to Marion Sylvester and Edith Winchester Stuckey. She and Paul Phillip Menz Sr. were married Sept. 7, 1940, in Benton. He preceded her in death Dec. 1, 1988.
She was owner and operator of Menz Grocery Store. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Benton.
Survivors include two sons, Billie D. Mansell of Cape Girardeau and Paul P. Menz Jr. of Denver,; a special daughter-in-law, Earline (Joe) Lowes of Benton; a daughter-in-law, Diane Menz of Oran; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Danny Ray Menz; two brothers; four sisters; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Unity Baptist Church.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Unity Baptist Cemetery.
