MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Genevieve Theresa Heper, 83, of Marble Hill, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at her home.

She was born May 30, 1919, in St. Louis, daughter of Joseph and Sara Meneres Peters. She and William W. Heper were married in October 1966. He died in June 1988.

Heper was a registered nurse at Bethesda Hospital in St. Louis. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.

Survivors include three sons, Richard Bolte of Mesa, Ariz., Bernard Bolte of St. Charles, Mo., Joseph Bolte Jr. of Cedar Hill, Mo.; six daughters, Mary Ann Harmon of Tulsa, Okla., Rose Marie Casten of O'Fallon, Mo., Julia Leesemann of Barnhart, Mo., Jane Sitze of Marble Hill, Madeline Keller of House Springs, Mo., Bernadette Enghauser of Cedar Hill; a sister, Gertrude Hrdlicka of St. Louis; 38 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.

A memorial Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Immaculate Conception Church, with the Rev. Edward Eftink officiating.
