Genevieve B. Lueders, 80, of 1115 N. Henderson died Saturday, March 2, 1996, at her home. She was born Sept. 1, 1915, in Downs Grove, Ill., to W. Roy and Katherine Kearney Behrel. She married Paul R. Lueders on Aug. 25, 1945, in Downers Grove, Ill. He preceded her in death Sept. 23, 1995...

Genevieve B. Lueders, 80, of 1115 N. Henderson died Saturday, March 2, 1996, at her home.

She was born Sept. 1, 1915, in Downs Grove, Ill., to W. Roy and Katherine Kearney Behrel.

She married Paul R. Lueders on Aug. 25, 1945, in Downers Grove, Ill. He preceded her in death Sept. 23, 1995.

Other survivors include a son, Richard Lueders of Danville, Calif.; a daughter, Holly Lueders of New York City; a brother, H. Gordon Behrel of Downers Grove, Ill.; a sister, Mercedes B. Lueders of Hinsdale, Ill.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She attended Milwaukee Downer College in Milwaukee and graduated from Southwestern University in Evanston, Ill.

She received 25-year service award from the Boy Scouts and served as a director of the Girl Scouts' Day Camp Committee.

She was Missouri Alumni membership chairperson of the Kappa Delta National Sorority. She also was chairperson of the Heritage Ball.

She also was on the Community Concerts Ticket Committee, Southeast Council of Flower Show Judges, Historical Association of Greater Cape Girardeau, Carriage House Volunteer and Town & Country Garden Club.

Friends may call at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel Monday from 4-7 p.m.

Funeral service will be at the funeral home Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Glenn Eftink officiating.

Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
