WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- Geneva Wiggs, 87, of Wolf Lake died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 14, 1917, near Ware, Ill., daughter of W.W. "Dick" and Fannie Verble David. She and Floyd W. "Cotton" Wiggs were married Sept. 26, 1936, in Jonesboro, Ill.
Wiggs was a photographer 50 years, and owned and operated Wiggs Studio in Jonesboro. She was a lifelong member of Professional Photographers of America, member of Nancy Hunter Chapter DAR in Cape Girardeau, National Society of Colonial Dames XVII Century, Antique Club of Southern Illinois and Salem Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Sullivan of St. Louis, Billie Hamlin of Jonesboro; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.
Friends may call at Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Eidson officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
