PERRYVILLE -- Geneva Mae Robbins, 88, of Perryville died Wednesday, June 2, 1999, at the home of a son in Perryville.
She was born Oct. 13, 1910, near Mt. Vernon, Ill., daughter of Iley Asa and Dessie Pearl Harrolle Jenkins. She first married Homer F. Chamness June 13, 1929, in Fairfield, Ill. She later married William Jasper Robbins Dec. 13, 1948, in Pocahontas, Ark. Both preceded her in death.
Formerly of Marble Hill, she retired as a postal clerk with the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of Grassy Friendship General Baptist Church and Perryville First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include three sons, Homer Chamness of Van Buren, Ark., Marshall Chamness of Oak Ridge, Dr. John Chamness of Perryville; two stepdaughters, Opal Frymire of Cascade, Pauline Dickerson of Marble Hill; three stepsons, the Revs. Gene and Bob Robbins, and William "Bill" Robbins, all of Grassy; two sisters, Leona Irwin and Dora Isaacs of Peoria, Ill; and more than 100 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, a stepson and two grandsons.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Friendship Church in Grassy. Officiating will be a son, Dr. Chamness; two stepsons, the Revs. Gene and Bob Robbins; and two grandsons, the Revs. John Chamness Jr. and Justin Chamness. Burial will be in Grassy Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until service time.
