GENEVA F. ZIMMER

EAST PRAIRIE, -- Geneva Florence Baker Zimmer, 97, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 1996, at the East Prairie Nursing Center of an extended illness.

She was born Oct. 13, 1989, at Dogwood, daughter of James and Lettie Baker. She and W.C. Zimmer were married at Matthews. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Steve Karr, of Cottondale, Ala.; a daughter, Ruedell Karr Gibertson of Sikeston; a stepson, Russell Karr of Arnold; a sister, Edith Knight Hastings of Ballwin; 12 granddaughters; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Funeral service will be held graveside Monday at 11 a.m. at the Dogwood Cemetery.
