ORAN, Mo. -- Geneva Lois Brindley, 80, of Oran died Friday, April 20, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 12, 1920, at Oran, daughter of Ralph and Pearl Rollins Cummins. She and Paul Brindley were married Nov. 26, 1936. He died July 4, 1980...

ORAN, Mo. -- Geneva Lois Brindley, 80, of Oran died Friday, April 20, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 12, 1920, at Oran, daughter of Ralph and Pearl Rollins Cummins. She and Paul Brindley were married Nov. 26, 1936. He died July 4, 1980.

Brindley was a retired cook, and member of Oran Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Brindley of Mission Viejo, Calif., Lonnie and Larry Brindley of Oran; a daughter, Peggy Whorton of Florissant, Mo.; two brothers, Charles Cummins of Sikeston, Mo., Edward Cummins of Gallipolis, Ohio; a sister, Lilie Hogan of Oran; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 4 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Garden near Morley, Mo.
