ANNA, Ill. -- Gene Myers, 67, of Anna died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at Illinois Veterans Home in Anna.
He was born March 28, 1938, at Moberly, Mo., son of Leslie and Mabel Wareham Myers. He and Jeannine Lunsford were married Oct. 12, 1958.
Myers was an electrician at Peabody Coal Co. in Missouri. He was a member of Anna Heights Baptist Church.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, and was a tail gunner on a B-52 bomber. He retired from the Air National Guard.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kathy Gaumer of Olathe, Kan., Dianne Waterhouse of Springfield, Mo.; two sons, John Myers of Olathe, Joseph Myers of Springfield; two sisters, Mary Boatwright of Kansas City, Mo., Norma Roberts of Springfield; and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, a son and a brother.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and at Anna Heights Baptist Church after 10 a.m. Monday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with Scott Harner officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
