SIKESTON -- Gene Littleton, 80, of Sikeston died Saturday, Sept. 6, 1997, at Sikeston Health Care. She was born Jan. 31, 1917, at Marston, daughter of Merkle and Lucy Shaver Goyins. SIKESTON -- Gene Littleton, 80, of Sikeston died Saturday, Sept. 6, 1997, at Sikeston Health Care.

She was born Jan. 31, 1917, at Marston, daughter of Merkle and Lucy Shaver Goyins. She married James Martin Littleton Sr., who died Dec. 31, 1971.

Littleton was co-owner of Littleton Amusement Co. She attended Shady Acres Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Don Littleton of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Dawanna Nichols of Westphalia, Kan.; a brother, Jim Goyins of Sikeston; five sisters, Helen Keen of Gainesville, Fla., Georgia Collins of Mitchell, Ore., Laverne Sotier of Ladue, Ruth Esko of Maryland Heights, Geneva French of Vienna, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Ponder Funeral Home.
