Gene R. Bosche, 67, of Hamilton Square, N.J., died Wednesday, May 1, 1996, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton, N.J. He was born in St. Louis, son of Walwin J. and Louise Bosche. Gene R. Bosche, 67, of Hamilton Square, N.J., died Wednesday, May 1, 1996, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton, N.J.

He was born in St. Louis, son of Walwin J. and Louise Bosche. He and Jean Hennkens were married 44 years ago.

Bosche lived in many areas of the Midwest before moving to Hamilton Square 14 years ago. He received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.

From 1958 to the early 1960s Bosche was a project engineer with Missouri Dry Dock and Repair Co. and with Missouri Barge Lines in Cape Girardeau. He later worked at Atlas (Spartech) Plastics here, and retired from General Foods in 1989. He continued to consult in engineering design.

During his career he was responsible for the design, development and patenting of machinery and products in the plastics and food industries.

Bosche had been a Boy Scout leader and committee member, and had also been a committee member of several Girl Scout councils. He was a eucharistic minister, usher and choir member in several parishes where he had been a member.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mark Bosche of Superior, Colo., Neal Bosche of Roanoke, Va.; two daughters, Sharon Bosche of Bethlehem, Pa., Stacie McDonald of Jordan, Utah; two brothers, a sister, and seven grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be today at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Hamilton Square. Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis County.

Friends may call at Hoffmeister Mortuary in St. Louis from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
