Gene B. Bierschwal, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at The Lutheran Home.
He was born March 13, 1933, in Cape Girardeau to Henry A. Bierschwal and Helen Reitzel. He and Patronilla A. Eickenhorst were married Dec. 19, 1964, at Marble Hill, Missouri.
Gene was a manager at Davis Electric for many years and later at Procter & Gamble. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Pat. They traveled extensively, both in the United States and abroad. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Gene also was a loyal caretaker of his wife, Pat, until her death.
In retirement, Gene enjoyed being with his friends and playing cards with his buddies.
Gene is survived by a younger sister, Mariann Litzelfelner of Troy, Tennessee; a son, Joseph James Bierschwal of Cincinnati; and four grandchildren, Tyler James Bierschwal, Matthew Jacob Bierschwal, Alexandra Bierschwal and Nick Bierschwal.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
There will be no visitation nor funeral.
