IRONTON, Mo. -- Gayle June Reeves of Ironton passed away at Mercy Hospital in Festus, Missouri, on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at the age of 57 years, 10 months and 29 days.
She was born July 3, 1958, to Ken and Geraldine Patton Moxey.
On Dec. 14, 1985, she was united in marriage to Ken Reeves, who survives. To this union a daughter, Sharon, was born.
Gayle is survived by her father, Ken Moxey; her husband, Ken; a daughter, Sharon; her mother- and father-in-law, Ken and Jan Reeves; a brother, Ernie Moxey, and his wife, Lisa; a sister, Bonnie White, and her husband, Bob; and other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and a sister, Charlotte Moxey.
Gayle earned a masters degree from Southeast Missouri University and taught remedial reading for Belleview School.
She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Ironton.
A memorial service celebrating Gayle's life will be held at noon Saturday at the Cole Family Funeral Home in Ironton. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
