Gayle Dragoni

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Patricia "Gayle" Dragoni, daughter of the late Ronald Eugene and Ella Nora Culbertson Dowd, was born Aug. 26, 1949, in Cape Girardeau and departed her life Sunday, May 8, 2022, at the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 72 years.

On Oct. 17, 1970, Gayle was united in marriage to Jack Dragoni in Chaffee and to this union three sons where born. Jack survives of the home.

She was the co-owner and operator of Castaway Consignment in Cape Girardeau for 25 years. She was of the Methodist faith and a resident of Chaffee.

Besides her husband, survivors include two sons, Dr. Michael (Amanda) Dragoni of St. Louis and Dr. Mark (Dr. Lissa) Dragoni of Glenview, New York; three grandchildren, Jack Dragoni, Elliot Dragoni and Madeline Dragoni; and other relatives and friends. Gayle's children and grandchildren were the greatest pride in her life.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Justin Dragoni, and a brother, Michael Dowd.

Visitation will be from 11 to noon Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral service will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
