Gary Wilburn

THEBES, Ill. -- Gary Michael Wilburn, 65, of rural Thebes passed away at 10:46 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at his home.

Michael was born Jan. 14, 1949 at Mound City, Illinois, son of the late Glena Fiessinger Wilburn.

Michael was a retired over-the-road truck driver.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Glena Wilburn Burton; and two brothers, Barry John Wilburn on Dec. 1, 2003, and Harold Wilburn in December 2000.

Survivors include his wife, Algthea "Marilyn" Jolley Wilburn of Thebes; a daughter, Stephanie Kipper of West Palm Beach, Florida; a brother, Troy Wilburn of Kelso, Missouri; five sisters, Linda Stevens of Frankfort, Indiana, Patty Schmarje of Jackson, Shirley Black of St. Louis, Donna Holman of East Cape Girardeau, Illinois and Karen Smiddy of Cincinnati; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at Jones Funeral Home Tamms. A memorial service will be at 5 p.m., with the Rev. Larry Buckles officiating.
