Gary W. Sperling, 58, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 22, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, son of Fred C. and Elda Amanda Schwab Sperling. He and Sheree A. Davis were married March 16, 1974, at Gordonville.
Sperling had owned/operated Sperling's Garage and Wrecker Service in Cape Girardeau since 1975. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Jason W. Sperling of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Phyllis J. McClanahan and husband Jerry T. of Cape Girardeau, Carolyn A. Lewandoski and husband Dennis of Arnold, Mo.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Rosetta Davis of Cape Girardeau; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Wayne Schwiesow officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Gordonville.
