THEBES, Ill. -- Gary Wayne Reimann, 68, of Thebes died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at Southeast Health Center of Reynolds County in Ellington, Missouri.
He was born June 26, 1946, in Cape Girardeau to Walter Alfred and Mary Wiley Reimann.
He and Laura V. Kern were married June 18, 1967, at Grace Lutheran Church in Pagedale, Missouri.
Gary was an electrician and belonged to IBEW Local 1.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Church Men's Club. He served on the Southern Five Regional Planning District and Development Commission.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Wiley Reimann of McClure, Illinois; wife, Laura V. Reimann of Thebes; daughter, Hope Edwards of Cape Girardeau; brothers, Bruce (Beth) Reimann of Cape Girardeau and Don (Connie) Reimann of McClure; grandchildren, Gannon Edwards and Ethan Edwards; stepgrandson, Jeremy Edwards; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Lindsey Reimann, Hailey Reimann, Morgan Chaudoir, Blyn Reimann, Tyler Reimann, Don Thieman and Debbie Schmidt.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Interment will be in Lindsey Cemetery in McClure at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran School or Trinity Lutheran Men's Club.
