MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Gary Wayne Fee, 63, of Murfreesboro died Saturday, April 18, 2020.

He was born Sept. 5, 1956, to Lawrence Lowell and Cora Alice Bizzell Fee. He and Melinda Fee were married June 22, 1995, in Paducah, Kentucky.

He was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1975.

Gary never met a stranger and, if you met him, you would never forgot him. He was a kind and compassionate man who was always willing to help. His laughter was infectious, and he always had everyone laughing. He loved to pull pranks on his friends. Gary enjoyed camping and fishing and loved having fish fries.

Two of the happiest days of his life were when his children were born. Taylor was his "best friend," and Jordan was his "little buddy." In 2011, Gary and his family moved to Murfreesboro to be closer to Melinda's family.

Gary worked for Pavestone in Scott City as regional transportation manager. He was retired, but worked part time for Gold River Farms in Manchester, Tennessee. He also worked at Malone and Hyde/Fleming as transportation manager for many years.

Even with his health declining, he had a smile on his face and worked when he could, driving a big rig, hauling corn and soybeans. He taught Jordan to mow the grass, and he would sit outside and watch him. Gary's death has left a big void in the lives of his loved ones, but they have the assurance they will see him again.
