Garry Mansfield

Garry R. Mansfield, 55, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born March 17, 1947, in Coldwater, Mo., son of Earl Frank and Betty Faye Mitchell Mansfield. He and Amelia Peters were married Oct. 15, 1993, in Paducah, Ky.

He worked for Chrysler Corporation in Belvidere, Ill., and in St. Louis for 18 years as a supervisor. For nine years, he worked as a gear cutter at Dana Corp. He owned and operated Oak Hill Garage in Houston, Mo., for seven years.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Stacy W. Mansfield of Jackson, David Mansfield of San Clemente, Calif., and Ronnie Maxwell of Cape Girardeau; four daughters, Chantelle Mansfield-Pratt of Avalon, Wis., Wendy Koenig of Perryville, Mo., Chandra Mansfield and Bessie Blue Harley of Cape Girardeau; his mother of Houston, Mo.

Also surviving are two brothers, Dennis and Perry Mansfield of Houston, Mo.; two sisters, Frankie Topping of Houston, Mo., and Marilyn Schultz of Houston, Texas; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating.
