Garry James Greenhill, 50, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at his home.

He was born April 12, 1961, in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, to Robert and Margaret Robertson Guthrie Greenhill. He and Amanda Swafford were married Aug. 25, 2004, in Cape Girardeau.

Garry was an industrial electrician and P.L.C. programmer for Procter & Gamble in Cape Girardeau and Canada. He then owned and operated Industrial Consultants. He had lived in Cape Girardeau the past 13 years.

Survivors include his father, Robert Greenhill of Canada; wife, Amanda Greenhill of Cape Girardeau; a son and daughter, Graham and Leah Greenhill of Cape Girardeau; a stepson and stepdaughter, Shaun and Jacklyn Cheyenne Allen of Cape Girardeau; and a sister, Laura Lamoureux of Canada.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Greenhill; and a brother, Keith Greenhill.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Lynwood Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
