CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Garnet Conyers, formerly of Charleston, will be held at 2 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Joel Godard will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.

Conyers, 81, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born April 10, 1916, in East Prairie, daughter of Robert L. and Florence Puckett Conyers.

Conyers lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She had worked at Brown Shoe Co., and was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include a sister, Eugenia Bush of Charleston.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
