JONESBORO, Ill. -- Garl Goodpasture, 71, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at his home northwest of Jonesboro.
He was born April 28, 1931, in Jonesboro, Ark., son of Alexander and Sylvia Price Goodpasture. He and Naomi Jean Showalter were married Nov. 10, 1956, in Maywood, Ill.
He was a veteran of World War II and a welder in manufacturing and construction.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Dawn Trimble of St. Charles, Ill.; three sons, Michael Goodpasture of Necedah, Wis., James K. Goodpasture of Ina, Ill., and Russell W. Goodpasture of Jonesboro, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Jeanie Galfi of Zion, Ill.; a stepson, Wayne Hooper of Sun Valley, Calif.; a brother, William Goodpasture of Jonesboro, Ill.; two sisters, Virginia Hicks of Granite City, Ill., and Barbara Goodpasture of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and a sister.
Memorial services are pending at Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, Ill.
