Galvon Heise

Galvon M. Heise, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at his home.

He was born Dec. 24, 1934, in St. Louis, to William T. and Mabel Marion Heise. He and Joyce Schenimann were married July 24, 1959, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills.

Heise worked at Procter & Gamble 18 years and was a farmer all his life. He loved to play guitar and sing and would tour the local nursing homes entertaining the residents. He was a good carpenter, welder and mechanic. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; two sons, Dwayne and Brent Heise of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Edith and Stephanie Heise of Cape Girardeau; and two great-grandchildren, Austin and Gracie Heise of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private funeral will be at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kevin Olson officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
