Gale Lloyd Walton, 66, of Burfordville passed away Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 23, 1954, in Springfield, Illinois, son of Richard and Jean Fulk Walton. He and Carolyn McCoy were married on Sept. 11, 1974, in Decatur, Illinois.

Gale worked for Prairie Farms for many year and recently retired from Fed-Ex after 29 years of service as an over-the-road truck driver. He enjoyed attending and participating in local car shows.

Loving survivors include his wife of nearly 47 years of marriage, Carolyn Walton of the home, and a daughter, Angie (John) Nix, and their children, Abigale and Jack Nix, all of Oak Ridge.

Also surviving are two brothers, Lane and Brad Walton of Springfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral service will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Lohrstorfer officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the donor's choice.
