Gale Janice Carter, 51, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, March 26, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born Aug. 26, 1948, in Chicago, daughter of John and Margaret Lorraine Williams Carter. Survivors include two daughters, Desirai and Lucretia Carter of Kansas City; a son, Darryl Criddle of Cape Girardeau; her father of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Jamila Dorris of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Alvin Carter and Darryl Smith of Chicago, and Chioke Carter of St. Louis...

Survivors include two daughters, Desirai and Lucretia Carter of Kansas City; a son, Darryl Criddle of Cape Girardeau; her father of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Jamila Dorris of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Alvin Carter and Darryl Smith of Chicago, and Chioke Carter of St. Louis.

Memorial services will be held later in Chicago and Cape Girardeau.
