MARBLE HILL -- George Hadley Davault, 81, of Marble Hill, died Wednesday, May 1, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born Sept. 17, 1909, near Marble Hill, son of George W. and Ruth Aldrich Davault. He and the former Laney N. Cheek were married Feb. 5, 1930. She died Aug. 31, 1984...

MARBLE HILL -- George Hadley Davault, 81, of Marble Hill, died Wednesday, May 1, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Sept. 17, 1909, near Marble Hill, son of George W. and Ruth Aldrich Davault. He and the former Laney N. Cheek were married Feb. 5, 1930. She died Aug. 31, 1984.

Davault was a farmer, and had been a member of New Salem Baptist Church since 1923.

Survivors include a son, Dale Davault; a brother, Roy Davault; two grandsons, Roger and Rodney Davault, all of Marble Hill, and two great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Salem Church. The Revs. Randy Poole and Charley Shrum will officiate, with burial in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
