JACKSON -- Frona Switzer, 85, of Jackson, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1993, at Cape LaCroix. She was born March 2, 1907, in Altamont, Ill., daughter of Frank and Mary Tunze Newburn. She married W. JACKSON -- Frona Switzer, 85, of Jackson, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1993, at Cape LaCroix.

She was born March 2, 1907, in Altamont, Ill., daughter of Frank and Mary Tunze Newburn. She married W. Louis Switzer, who died in 1970.

Switzer retired from International Shoe Co. in 1969. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Hotop of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Augusta Aldridge of Illinois; a brother, Elmer Newburn of Cherokee Village, Ark.; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, four brothers and four sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Rodney Travis will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
