FRIEDA M. STEFFENS

FROHNA -- Frieda Martha Steffens, 92, of Frohna, died Wednesday, April 12, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 8, 1902, at Farrar, daughter of Ernst and Magdalena Roth Koenig. She and Claus Steffens were married April 24, 1921. He died July 25, 1972.

Steffens was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar and its Lutheran Women's Missionary League and Ladies Aid.

Survivors include five daughters, Leonora Winter of Frohna, Florence Sweeney of Lemay, Ellen Lewis of St. Louis, Gloria Mueller of Farrar, Georgia Koehler of Fairfield Glade, Tenn.; four sons, Herbert Steffens of Valley Park, Omar Steffens of Frohna, Donald and Allyn Steffens of Perryville; four sisters, Elsie Rauss and Emma Steffens of Perryville, Agnes Koenig of Farrar, Alma Lueker of Ste. Genevieve; a brother, Alfred Koenig of Farrar; 28 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, brother, sister, grandchild and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4-9 p.m. today, and 6:30-7:45 a.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Salem Church, with the Rev. Robert Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
