RANDLES, Mo. -- Frieda S. Jackson, 92, of Brookfield, Mo., died Saturday, March 10, 2001, at Columbia Regional Hospital in Columbia, Mo. She was born June 18, 1908, at Crowder, Mo., daughter of Charlie Henry and Nora Louise Smith Powell. She and James W. Jackson Sr. were married July 3, 1924, at Bloomfield, Mo. He died Sept. 20, 1979...

RANDLES, Mo. -- Frieda S. Jackson, 92, of Brookfield, Mo., died Saturday, March 10, 2001, at Columbia Regional Hospital in Columbia, Mo.

She was born June 18, 1908, at Crowder, Mo., daughter of Charlie Henry and Nora Louise Smith Powell. She and James W. Jackson Sr. were married July 3, 1924, at Bloomfield, Mo. He died Sept. 20, 1979.

Jackson owned and operated Jackson Grocery at Randles from 1944-62. She moved to Keytesville, Mo., in 1962, and then to Brookfield in 1995. She was a member of Keytesville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Hester Barfoot of Kit Carson, Colo., Frankie Willett of Hollister, Mo., Eloise Jones of Keytesville; a son, James Jackson Jr. of Kansas City; a sister, Daisy Mann of Alton, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call at Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury, Mo., from 2-3 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at the funeral home at 3 p.m. today, with the Revs. Neva Reece and Rick Hall officiating. Burial will be in Keytesville City Cemetery.
