FRIEDA GERECKE

JACKSON -- Frieda R. Gerecke, 92, of Jackson, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 1997, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 2, 1905, the daughter of Jacob and Louise Graden Klaproth. She married Albert Gerecke on Dec. 25, 1924, at Gordonville. He died March 23, 1969.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville and was a member of the Ladies Aid at the church.

Survivors include one son, Leeman Gerecke of Gordonville; three daughters, Evelyn Peetz and Ellouise Siebert, both of Jackson, and Shirley Campbell of Knoxville, Tenn.; 20 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, a great-granddaughter, two brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville, with the Rev. Wayne Schweisow officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
