Frieda Boettcher

ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Frieda L. Boettcher, 85, of Altenburg died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 6, 1921, at Frohna, Mo., daughter of Henry and Helena Weber Lueders. She and Cornelius A. Boettcher were married Dec. 26, 1944.

Boettcher was a former polisher at International Shoe Co. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Donald Boettcher of Frohna; a daughter, Dorothy Krans of Pevely, Mo.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Trinity Church in Altenburg from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of service.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Steven Dressler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
