FREIDA SCHLIMME

Freida Louise Schlimme, 69, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 6, 1928, at Marble Hill, daughter of Henry Allen and Dora E. Welker Cobb. He and Lloyd Schlimme were married Sept. 21, 1946, at Gordonville.

Schlimme was a physical therapy assistant at St. Francis Medical Center 17 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, John Schlimme of Raleigh, N.C., Roger and Kenneth Schlimme of Cape Girardeau, Michael Schlimme of Chicago; a daughter, Mary Petzoldt of Jackson; two brothers, Clarence "Mose" Cobb of Cape Girardeau, John Cobb of Belton; two sisters, Verna Thompson of Jackson, Virginia Buttry of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hobbs Chapel, with the Rev. David Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Zion United Methodist Cemetery at Gordonville.
