PORTAGE, Ind. -- Frederick E. Beccue, 94, of Portage passed away Monday, June 20, 2011, at his home.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Joines-Appleby Funeral Home in Newman, Ill. Mr. Beccue's stepson, Jack Virgin, will officiate. Burial will be in Newman Cemetery.
Beccue was born May 22, 1917, in Metcalf, Ill., son of Frank E. and Lucille Jewell Beccue. He married his third wife, Hazel Carson, on Jan. 30, 1971, in Dolton, Ill. She preceded him in death June 25, 2009.
Survivors include a son, James Robert Beccue; two daughters, Sue (Lenny) Usdowski and Sharon (Gene) Earline Bowen; four stepchildren, Jack (Nelle) Virgin, Barbara (Joe) Quick, Marie (Tom) Weiskircher, Gayle (Sue) Horn; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Earleane Ridgley.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Beccue was a veteran of World War II.
At the age of 42 he turned his life over to God and became a Christian.
