FREDERICK A. BARTELS

Frederick August Bartels, 88, of Centralia, Mo., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 1994 at Heritage Hall Care Center in Centralia.

He was born Feb. 14, 1906 in Tilsit, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Bartels.

He married Monta Frances Mungle. She survives.

He is also survived by a son, Edward E. Bartels, Hallsville, Mo.; a daughter, Janet Sue Cleaves, Fayette, Mo.; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Centralia. He was a retired farmer and former employee of Southeast Missouri State University.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Centralia with the Rev. William Dorrow officiating.

Funeral service will also be held at the Hanover Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jeff Sippy and the Rev. William Dorrow officiating.

Burial will be in Lorimer Cemetery.

Friends may call Monday from 7-9 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.
