STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. -- Freda M. Forsythe, 77, of Ste. Genevieve, formerly of Perryville, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, in Martin County Memorial Hospital in Stuart, Fla.
She was born Jan. 8, 1928, at Zion, Mo., daughter of Lee and Anna Kelly Skaggs. She and William Earl Forsythe were married Sept. 15, 1966.
Forsythe co-owned Freda's Restaurant in Perryville 40 years. She moved to Ste. Genevieve four years ago. She attended St. Mary's Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Larry Moser of Ste. Genevieve; a daughter, Linda Ballew of Park Hills, Mo.; three stepsons, Melvin Forsythe of Nixa, Mo., Gary and Larry Forsythe of Farmington, Mo.; two sisters, Leota Layton of Farmington, Retha Todd of St. Louis; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and stepmother.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, and Sunday from 8 a.m. until time of service.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Irvin Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Hillview Memorial Gardens at Farmington.
