FREDA EDWARDS

ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Freda M. Edwards of Anna will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. The Rev. Clifford Heil will officiate. Burial will be in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery near Lick Creek, Ill.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.

Edwards, 82, died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Rest Haven Central in Palos Heights, Ill.

She was born Oct. 1, 1918, in Union County, Ill., daughter of Raymond and Estella Walker Merriman. She and Bon E. Edwards Sr. were married Dec. 23, 1937, at Jackson, Mo. He died Oct. 23, 1998.

Edwards was a member of New Hope Baptist Church near Saratoga, Ill.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Delson of Alsip, Ill.; a son, Bon Edwards Jr. of Montour Falls, N.Y.; a sister, Joyce Klosterhoff of Dwight, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
