FREDA BILLINGSLEY

POPLAR BLUFF -- Freda Billingsley, 93, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff.

She was born April 24, 1905, in Rockford, Ill. She and H.C. Billingsley were married July 3, 1920. He died in August 1969.

Billingsley had lived in the Poplar Bluff area 20 years. She was formerly of the Thebes and Gale, Ill., areas and a member of the United Methodist Church at Thebes.

Survivors include a daughter, Rosemary Prater of Longmont, Colo.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter.

Friends may call at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk after 5 p.m. Monday.

Funeral will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Prater officiating. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in Mound City National Cemetery at Mound City, Ill.
