Freda Pauline Baldridge, 93, formerly of Cape Girardeau, and Centralia, Ill., died Sunday, June 29, 1997, at Bethany Terrace Nursing Center in Morton Grove, Ill. She was born Sept. 3, 1903, in Centralia, daughter of Herman Frederick and Elizabeth Thormann Hellmeyer. She first married Leonard Abernathy and later married Edward Baldridge. Freda Pauline Baldridge, 93, formerly of Cape Girardeau, and Centralia, Ill., died Sunday, June 29, 1997, at Bethany Terrace Nursing Center in Morton Grove, Ill.

She was born Sept. 3, 1903, in Centralia, daughter of Herman Frederick and Elizabeth Thormann Hellmeyer. She first married Leonard Abernathy and later married Edward Baldridge. Both preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Bettie Garner of Northbrook, Ill.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kolssak Funeral Home in Wheeling, Ill. Burial will be in Northfield Cemetery in Northbrook.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to service time.
