Funeral service for Fred W. Henson of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Doyle Randol will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.
Henson, 80, died Sunday, July 17, 1994, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.
He was born Feb. 13, 1914, at Bernie, son of Tom and Cora Thomas Henson. He and Alpha Mae Lucle were married April 8, 1958, in Anna, Ill. She preceded him in death.
Henson was a retired construction worker. He was a member and elder of Church of Jesus Christ. He had lived here since 1957.
Survivors include a son, Herschel Henson of Cape Girardeau; five daughters, Helen Henson of Riverside, Calif., Tess Etheridge of Princeton, Ill., Virginia Johnson of Albany, Ill., Julie Walker of Fond du Lac, Wis., Jane Henson of Rock Falls, Ill.; four brothers, Vern and Boyd Henson of Jonesboro, Ill., Ed Henson of Leesburg, Fla., Floyd Henson of Fond du Lac; a sister, Audrey White of Ware, Ill.; 17 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and four sisters.
