URBANDALE, Ill. -- Fred T. Riddle Sr. of Urbandale died Friday, Jan. 16, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was 72.
He was born in Kevil, Ky., on Nov. 14, 1925, son of Kenny and Nancy Tankersley Riddle.
He was a retired millwright for the E.L. Bruce Lumber Co. at North Cairo before his retirement, and at the time of his death he worked as a security guard for the Louisiana Dock Co. at Urbandale.
He was a Baptist, served in the Illinois National Guard and was an honorary deputy coroner in Alexander County.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene, of Urbandale; a daughter, Afton Green of Urbandale; two sons, Fred Riddle of Overton, Texas, and Terry Riddle of Urbandale; a sister, Pearline Reynolds of Fisher, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, a daughter and a grandson.
Visitation is from 9-11 a.m. Monday at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Vester Keesee and Jack Owens officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston, Mo.
