OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Fred Stilley, 73, of Olive Branch died Monday, April 3, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 16, 1932, in West City, Ill., son of Carl Lester and Beatrice Sanders Stilley. He married Helen Ollis Nov. 6, 1975.
Stilley served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a retired trooper with the Illinois State Police. He was a member of the United Church of God in Cape Girardeau and was a 33rd Degree Mason.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Karen Stilley and Beverly Gibbons of Cobden, Ill., Sharon Winn of Bettendorf, Iowa; a son, Chuck Stilley of Olive Branch; a brother, Richard Stilley of Tuscola, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Elder Neil Kinsey officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
