FRED RUDE

ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral service for Fred Rude of Hammond, Ind., formerly of Anna, will be held at 10 a.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. The Rev. Phil Nelson will officiate, with burial in Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m.

Rude, 87, died Wednesday, July 3, 1996, at Community Hospital in Munster, Ind.

He was born Feb. 17, 1909, in Vienna, son of I.N. and Mary Ester Hood Rude. He and Nellie Burris were married April 4, 1931, in Cobden.

Rude had been a custodian at Hammond Schools. He was a member of McKinley Masonic Lodge 712 AF&AM in Hammond, and the Scottish Rite of South Bend, Ind.

Survivors include his wife, and a brother, Charles Rude of Springfield.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
