Fred E. Moore, 74, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at his home. He was born Sept. 11, 1939, in Cape Girardeau County to the late Fred A. and Francis Diemund Moore. Fred E. Moore, 74, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at his home.

He was born Sept. 11, 1939, in Cape Girardeau County to the late Fred A. and Francis Diemund Moore.

Fred retired from Buzzi Unicem USA in Cape Girardeau after 35 years of service. He attended House of Prayer Tabernacle. Fred was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Clara Jenkins Moore of Cape Girardeau; children, Clay (Amy) Moore of Gulfport, Miss., David (Becky) Moore of Jackson, Christy (Craig) Wooldridge of Cape Girardeau and Jason (Debra) Moore of Chaffee, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six brothers, Harold Moore of Cape Girardeau, Harry Moore of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Tom and John Moore, both of Oak Ridge, Tony Moore of Millersville and Tim Moore of Illinois; five sisters, Theda Johnson of Texas, Janet Seib of Cape Girardeau, Pam Powless of Jackson, Edith Kagy of Pacific, Mo., and Francis Leimer of Jackson; three stepchildren, Teresa (Dave) McLinden of Hadley, Minn., Vicki Beland of Franklin, Ga., and Kevin (Sylvia) Taylor of Kingwood, Texas; nine stepgrandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Nollie Moore; and two infant siblings.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery.
