Fred W. "Pat" Lucey, 77, of Cape Girardeau and formerly of Benton died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born July 30, 1922, in New Madrid County, son of Fred W. and Lena Allen Lucey. He and Margie Mobbs were married Feb. 13, 1955, at Bell City.
He worked for Kelly High School at Benton until his retirement in 1985. He then owned his own business, L & M Floor Service.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Tony Stricklin of Sikeston; five daughters, Melinda Kosharek of Bloomington, Ill., Cris Brown of Cape Girardeau, Mary Beth Rush of Jackson, Angie Laxton of Advance and Devise Barton of Poplar Bluff; a brother, Richard Lucey of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Pearl Hessling of Dexter; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel. The Rev. Robert Klein will officiate, with burial to follow at Lorimier Cemetery.
