PUXICO -- Fred L. Cochran, 67, of Puxico, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 1994, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

He was born Feb. 12, 1927, at Harviell, son of Joseph H. and Pearl Clemens Cochran. He and Sindy Metcalf were married Jan. 27, 1951, in Piggott, Ark.

Cochran was a retired lineman and area supervisor with Ozark Border Electric Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church, member and past commander of VFW Post 7822. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Dennis Cochran of Poplar Bluff; two daughters, Debra Jones of Puxico, Denise Scates of Dexter; a brother, Jack Cochran of Doniphan; two sisters, Louise Eaker and Wilma Jones of Harviell, and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Marshall Link and Lyman McGee officiating. Burial will be in Puxico Cemetery.
