Fred William "Uncle Bussey" Howard Sr., 67, of Summerville, S.C., died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston, S.C.
He was born Dec. 5, 1936, in Craighead, Ark., son of Lonnie Fred and Lottie Cutright Howard. He attended schools in Craighead.
Howard was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include five daughters, Linda Howard of Minla, Iowa, Gwenda Howard and Shellia Fenny of Scott City, Terri Myers of Madison, Kan., Treva Palmer-Benton of Summerville, S.C.; two sons, Fred Howard Jr. of Tennessee, Alvin Howard of Kansas City, Kan.; a stepdaughter, Michelle Wedge of Summerville; two sisters, Mary Palmer of Summerville, Shirley Alexander of Kissimmee, Fla.; a brother, Robert Howard of Coldwell, Kan.; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Dorchester Memory Gardens in Summerville.
James A. Dyal Funeral Home in Summerville is in charge of arrangements.
