ANNA, Ill. -- Fred Granay Hileman, 86, of Anna died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, at the Jonesboro Health CareCenter in Jonesboro.
He was born June 10, 1911, at Mount Pleasant, son of Gordon and Emma Granay Hileman. On Sept. 23, 1933, he married Annie Marie Penninger at Lick Creek.
He was a member of the Anna United Methodist Church, a veteran of World War II and a retired supervisor with International Shoe Co. where he worked form more than 35 years.
He is survived by his wife and a sister, Gladys Jones of Anna.
He was preceded in death by three sisters.
Friends may call at from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Joe Hankla and Richard Sullins officiating. Interment will be in Anna Cemetery with military honors at the grave by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the VFW in Anna.
