JACKSON -- Funeral for Fred Brown Clippard Sr. of Jackson will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home. Dr. Brian Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Sunday. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
Clippard, 86, died Thursday, April 20, 2000, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 5, 1914, in Oak Ridge, son of Brown and Cara Ann Hartle Clippard. He first married June Lloyd, who died in 1936. He and Della Niswonger were married April 8, 1939.
Clippard had worked at Cape County Milling Co., Kimbel Truck Lines and Clippard Plumbing and Heating.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Excelsior Lodge 441 AF&AM, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 91 and American Legion Post 158.
Clippard served with the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Fred Clippard Jr. of Altoona, Pa.; two sisters, Lucy Medley of Cape Girardeau, Esther Clodfelter of Pevely; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
